How to find a dentist you are happy with and can trust is harder than you think.
Dentistry is a very personal experience. You place your full trust into a professional’s expert hands and 
rely on them to make the correct decisions for you. You rely on their good advice to maintain your dental health.
You may have visited the same family dentist since childhood and this is ‘your family dentist’ but at some point, life changes may necessitate that you have to change your dentist too.
Some important points I would recommend to you think of are
- Ask around: Word of Mouth goes a long way. Friends and Neighbours may have local knowledge and experience of services.
- Do a search on Google or Bing for ‘Dentist near me’. Look at the services they provide and specifically what is important to you:
- NHS and Private services
- Emergency Services
- Sedation services for nervous patients
- Out of normal hours appointments to include weekend and evening appointments
- Online bookings
- Specialist services like root canal treatments and Braces and Dental Implants
- Some practices also provide Dermal Fillers and Facial Aesthetics
- Free Consultations for some treatments like Dental Implants to better understand your needs
- Read their website from ‘Meet the Team’, ‘Treatments Provided’ to ‘Charges’.
- You should also call the practice to establish an initial rapport. If you are unsure, then some practices welcome you to attend to ‘meet the team’ on special Open Days.
- Do a search on Google or Bing and read their reviews, both positive and negative. This will give a general idea of their level of customer satisfaction.
- In England, The Care Quality Commission website will have a report of the Dental Practice and its service provision.
